Health Advisory Committee

The Pinaymootang First Nation Health Advisory Committee was established in May 2006 with a mandate to oversee and support the effective operation, management, and delivery of Pinaymootang Health Services and Programs for First Nation members.

The overall goal of the Committee is to enhance and improve health services and resources available to community members.

The Health Advisory Committee is responsible for:

  • Supporting oversight of the effective operation and management of community health programs

  • Working in collaboration with the Health Portfolio Councillors and the Director of Health

  • Ensuring that health services and resources are appropriately delivered to First Nation members

  • Making recommendations on health-related issues and concerns to Chief and Council, who hold final decision-making authority

The Committee plays an advisory role in strengthening health program delivery and supporting effective communication between community health services and governance structures.
